Wells River, VT- Katherine Ann King, 66, of Main Street, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at her home.

Katherine was born on October 29, 1954, in Sommerville, MA to Roland and Josephine (Moore) Simard.

Over the years, Katherine worked as a Licensed Nursing Assistant at Grafton County Nursing Home and at St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab for over 15 years where she retired in 2008.

She married Charles Fredrick King on February 14, 1974.

She enjoyed trips to the beach, camping, going to bingo with her friend Sharon, and going deer hunting. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Charles King (2008); two sisters, Elaine Simard, and Janet Fleurie.

She is survived by three sons, George King of Wells River, VT, Kevin King and partner Melissa Rice of Groton, VT, Jason King and wife Nicole of St. Johnsbury, VT; a daughter Kelli Little and husband Albert of Wells River, VT; two brothers Ronald Simard and wife Deborah of Malden, MA, Steven Simard of Cambridge, MA, five sisters, Diane Florio of Groton, VT, Celeste McMillan and husband Mac of Citronella, AL, Maurine Love of Citronella, AL, Bernice Robles of Malden, MA, Brenda Simard of St. Johnsbury, VT; twelve grandchildren, Allysa, Christa, George, Kylee, Nevaeh, Morgan, Tayler, Riley, Anfernee, Christian, Jason, and Alex; and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held for Katherine at the Groton Village Cemetery on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:30 PM with Pastor Candice Ricker Officiating.
