Woodsville, NH- Kathryn "Kay" Mae O'Malley, 77, of Harmony Drive, died on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH.
Kay was born on October 15, 1940, in Old Town, ME, to Daniel and Vivian (Trafton) Kennedy. She was a graduate of Bridgeport (CT) High School and then attended Berlin Tech.
Kay moved to New Hampshire in 1984. She began working at Connors Footwear in Lisbon, NH. Later she was employed as a certified office worker in the Community Resource Office in Woodsville until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Mary A. Glidden Lodge of Rebeka's #45, both of Woodsville. She played an integral role assisting with the Good Shepherd Ecumenical Food Pantry and community meals.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching movies, and being with her family.
On November 26, 2005, she married Frank O'Malley, and together, they enjoyed traveling. He predeceased her on September 13, 2011.
She was also predeceased by her father, Daniel Kennedy in 1975; her mother, Vivian Corey in 2004; and a brother, Lawrence Kennedy in 2009.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori LeBlanc and husband Randy of Las Vegas, NV and Cathy Andrews and husband Stephen of Braintree, MA; a son, Scott Papcun and wife Linda of North Haverhill, NH; a granddaughter, Nikki Papcun of New York City; a step-daughter, Pam O'Malley Anderson and husband Dennis of Mt. Lake, NH; three step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild; a sister, Gayle Savoy of Woodsville; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Kay's request, there will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be at on Thursday, May 17 at 11 AM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 3 Church Street, Woodsville, with Father William J. Watts, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, PO Box 167, Woodsville, NH 03785.
