Obituary

Bath, NH – Kendall Allen Emerson, 68, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Woodsville, NH, February 23, 1949, a son of Paul B. and Beatrice (Darling) Emerson.  He served with the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1966-1969.

Kendall first worked as a self-employed dairy farmer before his employment for the former Mitch's Mobile Homes in Woodsville.  He later worked at H.O. Taylor Chevrolet, Wells River, VT before returning to dairy farming. For a time he worked for the former Morrill Construction in North Haverhill before returning, once again, to dairy farming.

He married the former Donna L. Campbell on February 4, 1989.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Donna, of Bath; two daughters, Tracy Puffer and husband Matthew of Groton, VT, Julie Ainsworth and husband Joshua of Ft. Bragg, NC; a son, Peter Emerson and wife Nicole of Bradford, VT; two step daughters, Tina Short and husband Alan of Benton, NH, and Tanya Locke and husband Mark of North Haverhill; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Oliver and Mary Grant and husband Fred, all of Groton; two brothers, David P. Emerson and wife Viola and Gale "Pete" Emerson, all of Groton; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Kendall was predeceased by his father, Paul, on July 8, 1978 and his mother, Beatrice, on April 5, 2014. amd twp brothers Royce on November 8, 2004, and Ralph on July 9, 1999.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held in the Swiftwater Cemetery, Bath, NH on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11AM with Pastor Candace Ricker, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
