Monroe, NH Kenneth E. Paye, Sr., 99, formerly of Littleton Road, Monroe, died on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Renaissance Manor in Westfield, MA. He was born in East Charleston, VT, March 8, 1913, a son of Terrence and Iva (Swett) Paye. From age 14 until his retirement he was a board sawyer at various lumber mills including Poulsen Lumber Company, Littleton, NH. Kenneth was predeceased by his first wife Margaret (Muzzey) Paye on November 18, 1979, and his second wife Madeline (Hale) Paye on September 27, 2004. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Marilyn Wheeler; three sons, Dennis, Leonard, and Kenneth, Jr.; three sisters, Thelma Paye, Shirley Martin, Ava Johnson; two brothers, Jack and Temple Paye. Survivors include his son, Arnold Paye and wife Jean (Lucas) of Westfield, MA; a daughter, Edith Paye of Burney, CA; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service in the Monroe Village Cemetery will be on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 1 PM, with Rev. Donald Thomas from the Monroe Community Church in Monroe, NH officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Monroe Public Library, PO Box 67, Monroe, NH 03771.
