East Ryegate, VT Kim Schauna Cummings, 53, died on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Kim was born in Plymouth, NH, July 5, 1960, the daughter of Raymond and Judith (Valliere) Cummings. She was a 1977 graduate of Gilford High School in Gilford, NH. Following graduation, she spent time in Maine prior to moving to Vermont where she attended the Community College of Vermont, studying Human Services and Liberal Arts. For seven years, Kim waitressed at the P&H Truck Stop in Wells River, VT. Kim is survived by her loving companion, Gary Lipp of East Ryegate; two children, Tracy Rocheleau and husband Dane of Wheelock, VT and Eugene Danis, Jr. of Danville, VT; grandchildren, Dillon Rocheleau, Taylor May, Eugene Danis III, Hailey Rana Duprey, and an expected grandson in March; her step mother, Gail Cummings of Bangor, ME; her mother, Judith Valliere of Virginia; four sisters, Sherry Falco, Kim Kennedy, and Heidi Cummings all of Bangor, and Tammy of Ridgecrest, CA; three brothers, Anthony Cummings of Ridgecrest, CA, Michael Cummings of Virginia, and Shawn Cummings of California; along with an aunt and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH, on Monday, January 20th from 5-7 PM with a funeral service following the calling hours at 7 PM.
