Obituary

North Haverhill, NH-  Larry G. Norcross, 75, of Cedar Lane, died unexpectedly at his camp on Sunday, May 31, 2020.

Larry was born in Haverhill, NH on June 4, 1944 to Edward Bunker Norcross and Harriett Louise (Patridge) Norcross Thurston.  He was a graduate of the Class of 1962 from Haverhill Academy.  While in school, he sang in the chorus and played basketball, soccer, and baseball, leading his team to one NH State Baseball championship and three runners-up titles.  On September 19, 1964, he married Carol Leete.

Over the years, Larry was employed with Larty Oil Co., Armour's, St. Johnsbury Trucking for whom he drove many years, Old Mill Pine, Ryegate Wood Crafters, before retiring from Leete-Norcross Builders where he was known for his excellent carpentry work.

As a supporter of the community, Larry served as a North Haverhill Precinct Commissioner and as chief of the North Haverhill Fire Department.  He was a member and past president of the CoHase Lions Club and was currently the president of the Haverhill Academy Alumni Association.

Larry enjoyed mowing lawns, water skiing, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He rarely missed his grandchildren's athletic events.  Larry was a great dad, grandfather, and great grandfather.  His favorite place to be was at the family camp, the Dew Drop Inn, where he loved playing cribbage, hanging out at deer camp, riding on the Gator or the Mahindra, maple sugaring, and just being with his growing family.

He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Carol L. Norcross of North Haverhill; three children, Harry Norcross and wife Karen, Mary DeRosia and husband Ron, and Larry Norcross and wife Bobbi, all of North Haverhill; four grandchildren, Michael Norcross and wife Jordyn, Christopher Norcross and wife Samantha, Haley DeRosia and significant other Jake, and Anthony DeRosia and significant other Libby; three great grandchildren, Trent, Hunter, and Hayden Norcross; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; along with countless friends.

Currently, no public services are being planned.
