Ryegate, VT- Laura Marie Hann, 88, of Randall Hill Road, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, following a period of declining health. Laura was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 15, 1926, to William B. and Astrid Esther (Andersen) Kenny. She was raised in Westfield, NJ. After her schooling, she went to work for several years on Wall Street in New York City in the foreign exchange section of the National City Bank. On October 15, 1950 she married Donald A. Hann. Following Don's retirement, the couple relocated from New Jersey to Vermont. Laura was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was devoted to her children and enjoyed spending time with them. She was predeceased by a son, James Donald Hann on February 10, 2005; a sister, Carolyn Kansky; and a brother, Kenneth Kenny. She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Donald A. Hann of Ryegate; a daughter, Pamela J. Owston and husband James of Manlius, NY; a son, Thomas A. Hann and wife Linda of Plymouth, MA; a daughter-in-law, Karen Hann of Bath, NH; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren ; two brothers, William B. Kenny of Fort Myers, FL and Robert W. Kenny of Winston Salem, NC; along with several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be private at the Pinehurst Cemetery, South Ryegate, VT.
