East Ryegate, VT – Laurance Edward "Larry" Allen, 66, died on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at his home.

He was born in Framingham, MA, November 25, 1950, a son of Raymond R. and Katherine O. (Offutt) Allen.

Larry graduated from Algonquin Regional High School, Northboro, MA, class of 1969. On December 17, 1977, he married Alice Hekkala.

For most of his life, Larry was a self employed truck driver and dairy farmer.

He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond R. and Katherine O. (Offutt) Allen.

Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years, Alice Allen of East Ryegate, VT; four sisters; two brother; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Caledonia Home Health Care and Hospice, 161 Sherman Drive, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.

In keeping with Larry's wishes no public services are being planned.
