Haverhill, NH-  Laurette Greenwood Millette, 89, died on Friday, June 16, 2017.

Laurette was born on November 28, 1927, to Arthur W. and Marie (Fournier) Greenwood.  She attended the Carbee School through the fourth grade, then Woodsville schools through high school.

On October 25, 1946, she married Charles A. Millette, Jr. and he predeceased her on March 31, 2010.

Laurette enjoyed her family and her home, along with gardening, cooking, caring for her animals, doing carpentry, quilting, and nursing.

After taking an LPN course, she worked at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital for twenty years.

She is survived by three children, Diane M. Freeman and husband Warren of Haverhill, Bruce C. Millette and friend Becky of Fairlee, VT, and Brian W. Millette and wife Patty of Haverhill; three grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; as-well-as five nieces, ten nephews, and many cousins.

Along with her husband and her parents, she was also predeceased by one brother, Richard Greenwood and five sisters, Margaret Tenny, Rita Bixby, Lucille Daniels, Rosalie Greenwood, and Janette Welch.

At Laurette's request, there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be on Tuesday, June 27th at 2 PM in Ladd Street Cemetery, Haverhill, with Rev. Rebecca Larson of the First Congregational Church of Haverhill, UCC, officiating.
