Lawrence H. Williams, 93, of Bradford, Vt. passed away on May 19, 2026, at home with his wife by his side. He was born on July 18, 1932, the son. of Herman and Ellen (Page) Williams in Groton, Vermont.

Lawrence, also known as John by his family and friends, was a hard worker and started working at the age of 14. He joined the military and was a proud veteran. He met Gloria Emerson while working at the Appleton Farm of Waits River, Vt. They were married on December 7, 1957, and enjoyed 68 years together. He worked for the Barre Granite Quarries, then was employed by the State of Vermont Highway Department for 20 plus years when he finally decided to retire his shovel and start traveling.

He enjoyed being a father to his sons, Roger and Roy, and spent many hours teaching them all about nature, from fishing for the "big one that got away" to deer hunting for the elusive trophy buck. His grandchildren, Keith and Courtnie loved hanging out with Grampa and getting into mischief. He enjoyed watching his great grandchildren play softball and attending the local auto car races and visiting with everyone he met along the way.

Being a sociable and engaging guy, he was always up for having fun and taking road trips and stopping at yard sales with Gloria. They traveled around Vermont and many states and enjoyed taking in the scenic views.

He is survived by his wife Gloria, his son Roy and friend Rene; his grandchildren Keith and Emily Williams, Courtnie and Cody Fulton; great granddaughters Zoey and Nova Fulton; and a great granddaughter due in August; as well as many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Roger, in 2006, and siblings Lucille, Loren, Laura, Leona and their spouses.
