Woodsville, NH - Lee Roger Tegu, 72, of South Court Street, died on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Lebanon, NH, April 23, 1938, the son of Peter and Bernice (Pudvah) Tegu. Lee graduated from Woodsville High School, Class of 1957. He served in the U. S. Air Force. Lee married Janet Page on September 2, 1959. They owned and operated the former Chat n Chew Drive-In Restaurant in Wells River, VT. In 1969 they purchased the Meadows Drive-In movie theater in Woodsville. They also operated the Blue Moon Drive-In in St. Johnsbury which was sold in 1985. They sold the Meadows Drive-In in 2005 after operating for many decades. He is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Bernice (Pudvah) Tegu; and a brother, John Tegu. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janet (Page) Tegu of Woodsville, NH; two daughters, Debbie Tegu of Woodsville, NH and Janese Locke and husband Joe of Bath, NH; a son, Steven Tegu and wife Alta of North Haverhill, NH; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, June Recke of Wisconsin; two sisters in law, Sandy McKean of Woodsville, NH and Cathy Sulham of Wells River, VT; a brother in law, Chet Page of North Haverhill, NH; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be on Monday, September 6, from 6 to 8 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A memorial service will be on Tuesday, September 7, at 11 AM at Ricker Funeral Home, with Pastor Sue Ellery from the Woodsville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Bath Village Cemetery, Bath, NH.
