North Haverhill, NH- Leslie Ann Schaufus,70, of Briar Hill, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH.
Leslie was born on July 6, 1950 in Norwood, MA to David Forrester and Rebecca (Anderson) Schulz. On September 11, 1997 she married Stephen Schaufus
Growing up in Massachusetts she worked as a school bus driver and housewife. Upon moving to this area, she worked on the dairy farms milking and herd testing for DHIA in the local area. She also worked in the café at Kendal in Hanover, and then took ownership of Entertainment Central in Woodsville, prior to retiring.
Leslie loved her family. She always saw the good in people and would put others first. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, camping, dancing, BINGO and playing card games like cribbage, solitaire, and spades. Over the years, Leslie enjoyed doing home demonstration parties for various products.
She had a passion for farm animals which lead her into raising her own cows, pigs, and poultry.
She was predeceased by her stepfather Fredrick Schulz and her mother Rebecca Schulz; her father David Forrester; her first husband Herbert Schulz, Sr.; three sisters, Karla Schulz, Tammie Shepardson, and Karen Tilton; a brother, David Forrester, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Samantha Manning.
She is survived by her husband Stephen Schaufus of 23 years; step mother Shirley Forrester of Framingham, MA; two sons, Craig Schulz and wife Allison of North Haverhill, NH, Herbert Schulz Jr. of Bath, NH; two daughters, Rebecca Carbonneau of Woodsville, Angela Janes and husband Nicholas of Berlin, NH; two brothers, Frederick Schulz, Jr. of Bath, NH and Stephen Forrester of Framingham, MA; two sisters, Gena Schulz of Foxborough, MA and Elaine Field of Franklin, MA; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A calling hour will be on Tuesday, December 15 from 5-6 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville.
Social distancing and masks are required for attendance at the funeral home.
