Ryegate, VT Liesa Marie Gadapee, 49, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, after an extended illness. She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, June 28, 1960, the daughter of Gerald H. Gadapee and the late Shirley A. Rutledge who died June 1, 1998. Liesa graduated from Blue Mountain Union School in Wells River, VT, Class of 1978. She was formerly a caregiver at Atkinson Home in Newbury, VT. She had previously worked at the Cottage Hospital in Woodsville and Jiffy Mart in Wells River, VT. She will be warmly remembered by those whom she had cared for and for the tender loving care she provided. She was predeceased by her mother and a brother, Gary H. Gadapee who died October 8, 1985. Survivors include her father, Gerald Gadapee and step mother Janice of Ryegate, VT; a daughter, Kimberly Butson and husband Shane of North Haverhill, NH; a son, Shane Crawford of Woodsville, NH; three grandchildren, Kera, Shania and Sebastian Butson of North Haverhill, NH; a sister, Linda Bunnell and husband Randy of Monroe, NH; a brother, Edward Gadapee and friend Michele of Newbury, VT; her husband and dear friend, Raymond Crawford of Woodsville, NH; best friend, Marie Downer of Woodsville, NH; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Thursday, October 15, at 11 AM, at the St. Luke s Episcopal Church, Church Street, Woodsville, NH, with Father William Watts officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, New England Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
