Linda Jean (Nystrom) Hurlbert, 71, Bath, NH, passed away at her daughter's home in Woodsville on Wednesday August 26, 2020 with family at her side.  She was born in Woodsville on June 25, 1949 to Robert and Marcella (Horton) Nystrom.

Linda grew up in the Haverhill area and graduated from Haverhill Academy with the class of 1967.  She joined the United States Army where she trained as a Medical Corpsman and an Operating Room Tech.  Following her honorable discharge, she lived in Michigan for a few years then returned to Haverhill.  In 1984 she married Dean Hurlbert.

Linda worked at The Barge Inn for many years, then went on to work in the Glencliff Home for the Elderly, manage the Coach and Paddock for a few years, and then worked part time for herself and other area businesses before retiring.

Linda loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.  She was an avid baker and enjoyed picking berries and making jam.  Linda was an animal lover, she would help any animal in need, domestic or wild, this even included orphaned skunks.

Linda is predeceased by her parents.  She is survived by her husband, Dean Hurlbert of Bath, two daughters Sharon Mitchell of Clarksville, TN, and Carol Champagne and her partner Jeffrey Brooks of Woodsville, a step-daughter, Bobbi-Jo Norcross and husband Larry of North Haverhill, five grandchildren, Devin Champagne, Erin Whiting, Joshua Vance, Jacob Mitchell, and Rowan Mitchell, one great-grandchild, Shinra Champagne, three brothers, Robert Nystrom and his partner Judy of Maine, Carl Nystrom and his wife Priscilla of Pike, NH, and Alden Nystrom and his wife Karen of Warren, NH, as well as a nephew and several nieces   and close friends.
