Linda J Pickering, 77, Benton, NH, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at home after a period of failing health.  She was born in Providence RI, on February 14, 1947, to Harry and Pearl (Crowel) Sutcliffe.  She graduated from Pawtucket High School with the class of 1964 and worked various jobs until finding work as a medical receptionist, a job she enjoyed until retirement.

Linda married Eric Pickering on August 15, 1986.  They enjoyed traveling together in retirement and traveled all over Europe, the United States, and Canada.  They moved permanently to their second home in Benton in 2007 from Rhode Island.

She is predeceased by her parents.  Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 38 years, Eric Pickering, of Benton, two sons, Scott Chase and his wife Tabetha of Texas, and David Chase and his wife Anglia of Fairfax, VA, three daughters, Kristie Chase of Lincoln, RI, Dawn Schaefer and her husband Peter of Sapello, NM, and Dena Fagnant and her husband Marc of North Smithfield, RI, two sisters, Judy Bouchard, of Exeter, RI, and Beth Gladowski, of Texas, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery in Boscowan, NH at 1 PM.
