North Haverhill, NH – Lorraine Marie Demers, 86, a longtime resident, died November 18, 2015, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, NH. She was born in Waltham, MA, August 21, 1929, a daughter of Leonel J.A. and Antoinette (Rheaume) Trudeau. Lorraine was a 1948 graduate of St. Mary's High School and on October 12, 1950 she married Charles M. Demers. She was an active communicant and volunteer of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Woodsville. Lorraine had formerly worked at Burndy's in North Haverhill and for the CAP office in Woodsville. She enjoyed her handwork and crafts. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Charles Demers on April 1, 1997; a daughter, Elaine Vorce on July 8, 1994; two sons, Bruce Demers on March 26, 2001 and John Demers on June 3, 2015; and several siblings. Survivors include a daughter, Diane Paquette and husband John, Jr., of Monroe, NH; three sons, Brian Demers of California, Wayne Demers of Whitefield, NH, and Barry Demers of Littleton, NH; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Longland of Sudbury, MA; a brother, Paul Trudeau of South Boston, MA; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A calling hour will be held on Monday, November 23rd, from 3 to 4 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 24th, at 10 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 15 Pine Street, Woodsville, with Father Alan Tremblay, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Horse Meadow Annex Cemetery, North Haverhill.
