Louis Francis Smith, age 80, of Bethlehem NH, passed away peacefully Monday August 22nd, at his home.

Louis was born on April 26th, 1942 at home, in Groton VT.

His parents were Paul L. Smith and Stammatoula Xenakes Smith.

Louis married his loving wife Gloria Ralston in South Ryegate, VT on March 1st, 1975.

He started farming after school in his early teens.

After he finished high school, he began working at Wells and Lamson quarry in Barre VT. He later owned and ran Lou Glo Acres farm in Landaff, NH with his wife Gloria. Many nieces and nephews spent summertime with him there.

Throughout his life, Louis lived in Groton and South Ryegate along with Landaff and Bethlehem.

Louis enjoyed hunting and fishing on his down time.

Owning Lou Glo Acres was his greatest achievement.

Louis is survived by two sisters, Bea Smith Davis of North Haverhill NH, and Bernice Paye and her husband Wayne Paye of Wells River VT.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Louis loved his dogs.

He is predeceased by both of his parents, his wife Gloria, and his baby sister Doreene.

A graveside memorial will be held on September 17th at 11 am at the Pinehurst Cemetery in South Ryegate, VT.
