Wells River, VT Lucy Rebecca (Dutton) Farley, 83, died on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH, after a long illness. She was born in White River Junction, VT, July 10, 1929, the daughter of Glenn and Rose (Paquette) Dutton. Lucy married Frank M. Farley on May 22, 1946. As a young child she resided at the former Pine Land Park in Wells River, where she enjoyed roller skating and country dances. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 9 of St. Johnsbury and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 20 of Woodsville. The ASPCA, National Fellowship for the Christian Jews, and Wounded Warrior Project all held a special place in her heart. For many years she ran a clothing distribution center out of her home on Leighton Hill Road. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank M. Farley on March 3, 2004 and a granddaughter, Iris S. Farley on February 10, 1990. She is survived by four daughters, Diana A. Goins of Wells River, Rebecca A. Farley of Lisbon, NH, Connie E. Bishop and husband Dale of Woodsville, and Bonnie E. Miller and husband Dennis of Crestview, FL; two sons, Sheldon I. Farley and wife Peggy of Claremont, NH and Shawn P. Farley and wife Dolores of East Ryegate, VT; 15 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a sister, Rose Hatch and husband Harvey of East Ryegate, VT; and 1 niece and 2 nephews. Following Lucy s wishes, a private family service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Boltonville Cemetery, Wells River, VT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Horsemeadow Senior Center, 91 Horse Meadow Road, North Haverhill, NH 03774.
