Littleton, NH – Marcella Jean Preble, 84, of River Glen Lane, died Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the Lafayette Center, Franconia, NH. She was born in Piermont, NH, February 3, 1931, a daughter of Bernard and Eva (Lewis) Horton. For many years Marcella worked as an LPN at several healthcare facilities including Hanover Terrace Healthcare. Later she became a social worker and for many years worked at the Glencliff Home in this capacity. She truly enjoyed seafood, especially a good lobster. Survivors include her husband Stephen Preble of Littleton, to whom she was married on November 6, 1986; her children Linda Hurlbert and husband Dean of Bath, NH, Robert Nystrom and companion Judy of North Waterboro, ME, Carl Nystrom and wife Priscilla of Pike, NH, and Alden Nystrom and wife Karen of Wentworth, NH; ten grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren; three sisters, Priscilla Fadden of North Haverhill, NH, Marion Dodge of Aurora, CO, Mary Whitley of Piermont, NH; four brothers, Lewis Horton of Bristol, NH, Richard Horton of Maricopa, AZ, Ralph Horton of Gilford, NH, and John Horton of Haverhill, NH; along with numerous nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Rita Labelle. In keeping with Marcella's wishes there are no public services being planned. Private burial will be in the East Haverhill Cemetery.
