Bradford, VT - Margaret P. "Peg" Carpenter, 90, died Friday, October 2, 2015, at the Blue Spruce Home, where she has resided for the past year. She was born in Marblehead, MA, on December 26, 1924, a daughter of Theodore and Gladys (Wagner) Parsons. She was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Margaret lived in Valley Forge, PA, until 1971 when she moved to Vermont. In 1987 she moved from Thetford Hill to New London, NH. She was an avid flower gardener, tending her perennials, and was always active and involved with volunteer work in the communities where she lived. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, New London. Margaret was married in October 1949 to John D. Carpenter who predeceased her in February 2001. Survivors include a son, James Carpenter of East Thetford, a daughter, Lee Carpenter Repetto of Sandwich, MA, and one granddaughter, Alison Repetto of New York City. Private burial services will be observed by her family in the Old Main Street Cemetery, New London, NH.
