Barnet, VT Margaret Achilles Davidson, 94, died February 8, 2013 at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, St. Johnsbury, VT, following a period of failing health. She was born in Barnet, VT, March 10, 1918, the daughter of William Russell and Hattie (Millican) Faris. Margaret graduated from Peacham Academy, Class of 1935 and the Thompson School of Nursing, Brattleboro, VT, Class of 1977, becoming an LPN and later working at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Groton, VT, where she taught Sunday School, played the organ, sang in the choir and performed in church plays and activities. She was also a life member of the WCTU and was active in the Christian Women s Club. She taught Bible study classes for many years. Margaret enjoyed gardening and was supportive of her husband Wendell s dairy farming and maple sugar producing. She married Wendell Achilles on September 6, 1936 and he predeceased her on March 8, 1974. She then married Richard Davidson in August 1986 and he predeceased her on March 11, 1989. She was also predeceased by a son Donald N. Achilles in July 2008; a brother Robert C. Faris in 2012; and a daughter in law Laurene Lori Achilles on February 15, 2011. Survivors include four sons Raymond S. Achilles and wife Paula of South Dayton, NY, Marvin K. Achilles and wife Dorothy of Fillmore, NY, Robert D. Achilles and wife Zetta of Mooresville, NC, and Wayne K. Achilles and wife Ginny of White Oak, GA; 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren; a brother Rev. Paul D. Faris of Cape Coral, FL; many extended family members, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins,. Revelations 14:13..."Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Burial will be in the Walter Harvey Cemetery, Mosquitoville.
