Margaret (Mitchell) Elliott, 83, Benton, NH, died at home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, with her family at her side.  She was born on August 10, 1940, to Chalon and Bessie (Evans) Mitchell in Littleton, NH, one of eleven children.

Margaret graduated from Woodsville High School in the class of 1958.  She married James Elliott Sr. on November 26, 1958, in Norfolk, VA.  Together they owned and operated Northern Product Log Homes in Woodsville, NH.  She enjoyed riding and showing Morgan as well as Paso Fino Horses.  Margaret enjoyed camping and RVing with her husband and family.  In retirement, they spent their winters in Florida.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents, five brothers, Colman, Denzil, Earl, Ira, and Chalon Mitchell; two sisters, Beverly Mitchell and Dorothy Hatch.  She is survived by her husband James Elliott Sr. of Benton, NH, three sons, James Elliott Jr. and his wife Belinda, of North Haverhill, NH, Jeffery Elliott Sr. and his wife Katrina, of Benton, NH, and Mark Elliott and his wife Michelle, of Benton, NH; a daughter Juanita Belyea and her husband David of Crestview, FL;  three sisters, Arleen Reed of Ghent, NY, Marion Bowman of Keene, NH, and Jean Roy of Woodsville, NH; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild due in January, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Calling hours will be on Friday October 27, 2023, 6-8PM, at Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch St. Woodsville, NH.  There will be a funeral service on Saturday October 28, 10:30 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 20 Central St. Woodsville, NH with interment to follow at the Mt. View Cemetery in Benton.
