Groton, VT-  Marie E. Ricker, 52, of Annis Road, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH.

Marie was born in Lancaster, NH on May 30, 1963, to Roland Clifford and Mary Catherine (Monahan) Buteau.  She was a graduate of White Mountain Regional High School and received her Associate's Degree from Berlin Technical College.  On July 16, 1983, she married Kevin B. Ricker.

Marie worked as a secretary for various area businesses and for the Collier Law Office in Bradford, VT.

Marie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Woodsville.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Buteau and her sister, Theresa A. Buteau.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kevin B. Ricker of Groton; a daughter, Megghan Jackson of Chelmsford, MA; a son, Derrick Ricker and fiance` Desirae of Groton; two grandchildren, Addisyn Marie Ricker and Joshua James Thornton; her father, Roland C. Buteau of Lancaster; three brothers, Andrew J. Buteau of Lancaster, Philip E. Buteau of Sutton, NH, and Patrick J. Buteau of Burlington, VT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A time of gathering and sharing will be on Monday, May 16th from 11AM-12PM at the Calvary Baptist Church, 20 Elm Street, Woodsville, with a service of celebration immediately following at 12 noon in the sanctuary of the Church, with Pastor Alan Morrison, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Groton Village Cemetery.
