Marie Spencer, 80, Warren, NH, passed on Thursday May 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by family after a period of failing health. She was born in Plymouth, NH to Fred and Irene (Eldridge) White on April 24, 1944. She attended Plymouth High School and Empire Cosmetology School in Laconia, NH. She married Edward "Butch" Spencer in Orford, NH on June 12, 1975.

Marie owned and operated Kountry Korner Beauty Salon in Warren for many years. She was the hairdresser at Glencliff Home as well during this time. Marie later found work at, and eventually bought and operated, H&R Block in Woodsville for over 30 years, retiring in 2015. She was a work-a-holic and rarely sat down, although she did enjoy puttering outside around the house and maybe catching a nap in the sun. In her younger years she loved to go out dancing with Butch. She was a loving Nana to her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren is what she enjoyed above all else.

Marie is predeceased by her parents; a son Martin Spencer; and a brother Roger White; grandsons Stephen Foley, Kevin Ball and Clayton Belyea. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Butch Spencer of Warren; a son, Michael Spencer of Warren; three daughters, Laurie Foley and her husband Edward of Whitefield, Marcia Belyea of Warren, and Elaine Ball and her husband James of Glencliff, NH; 9 grandchildren - Kimberly Oliver (Marcus), Timothy Foley (Rachel), Jaimie-Lyn Foley, Zoey Ball, Zabrina Ball, Jack Ball, Thayne Spencer, Brooke Spencer, Jonathan Spencer and 11 great-grandchildren - Graham, Calvin, McKinley, Myler, Colton, Mathieu, Jay, Bode, Mason, London, and Desmond; a sister Donna Heal of Rumney; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 9, 2024, at the Warren United Methodist
Church, 6 School St. Warren at 1:00PM, followed by interment at the Warren Village Cemetery.
