Groton, VT-  Marion Hope Bliss, 73, of Powder Spring Road, died on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Marion was born on July 7, 1947 in Randolph, VT, a daughter of Hubert Alton Bent, Sr. and Frances Hope (Hungerford) Bent Rowell.  She was a graduate of Randolph Union High School, Class of 1965 and attended college afterward.

Marion attended the First Baptist Church of Groton.  An artist, she enjoyed drawing, sketching, and oil painting.  She also did crocheting.  A lover of flowers, she tended her flower garden.  She loved all farm animals.  Above all, Marion cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Bliss of Groton, to whom she was married on January 4, 1986.  Also surviving are four daughters, Esther Moses and husband Bryan of Brookfield, VT, Eleanor Fay Mears of Fairlee, VT, May Edson of Randolph Center, VT, and Janice Bliss and fiancé` Michael Poor of Woodsville, NH; two sons, Simon Peter Mears and wife Cassandra of Randolph and Ralph Edson and significant other Trichia Chaput of Ryegate, VT; a step-daughter, Tina Marie Charette and husband Michael of Sanford, ME; a step-son, Thomas Earl Edson, Jr. of St. Johnsbury, VT; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Mary Huntley and husband Albert of Randolph, Nancy Azok and husband John of Wasilla, AK, and Cheryl Bent and husband Estes Manning of Williamstown, VT; three brothers, William Rowell and wife Sharon of Morrisville, VT, Hubert Bent, Jr. and wife Sharona of Hyde Park, VT, and Charles Bent and significant other Laurie   of Rutland, VT; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private services will be observed by Marion's family.
