Obituary

Groton, VT- Martha Crown, 74, of 2337 Great Road, Groton Vermont, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Martha was born in Whitefield, NH on March 18, 1946 to Chester Allen and Julia (Foster) Crocker, Jr.  She is a graduate of Norwood High School, class of 1964. On February 13, 1971 Martha married Russell "Rusty" Crown. They recently celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary, where they celebrated with a trip to Killington Resort, in Killington, VT

Martha enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed the time they would stop at the farm to visit. Martha loved being a member of the Red Hat Society and her time as the Queen Mother. Shopping trips and time spent traveling to Florida, Branson, MO, Alaska, Nashville, TN, and Maine, were just a few of the travel highlights she enjoyed over the years.

She was predeceased by her father, Chester Allen Crocker, Jr. on December 5, 2004.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rusty Crown; three children, Shawn Crown of Groton, Kimberly Smith and husband Ronson of Groton, Christy Dickey and husband William of Ryegate, VT; five grandchildren; her mother, Julia Crocker of East Ryegate, VT; and three siblings, Stephen Crocker of East Ryegate, Ralph Crocker and wife Candice of Peacham, VT and James Crocker and wife Patricia of East Ryegate.

A calling hour will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 5-6 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.  Masks and social distancing are required for attendance.
