Barnet, VT- Martha Kuehn Roos, 67, of Barnet, VT, died on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Martha was born on February 16, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of Raymond A. and Grace (Venn) Kuehn. She married Robert W. Roos, Jr. on April 4, 1970. Martha worked for many years as an independent Certified Public Accountant and later for the IRS. After retiring to Vermont her focus was on enjoying her grandchildren, who were undoubtedly the highlight of her life. She loved flowers, family dinners and feeding the birds. Martha had many hobbies including stamp collecting, cross-stitch, crochet, and genealogy. Martha had an optimistic, cheerful outlook on life which will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert W. Roos of Barnet; three children, Bryan W. Roos of Bastrop, TX, Julie A. Roos and husband David B. Hyde of Barnet, and David M. Roos and wife Jodi A.Roos of Danville, VT; four grandchildren, Noah and Austin Roos, Trillian and Earnest Hyde; a sister, Marilyn R. Mayer of St. Louis; an aunt, Ruth V. Busch of St. Louis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of Martha s life is planned for August 10th from 3-5 PM, with a service to begin at 3:30 PM at the family home, 2247 Barnet Center Road, Barnet VT.
