Concord, NH Mary Ann Coutermarsh, 81, formerly of Woodsville, NH, died Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Presidential Oaks in Concord, where she had resided for the past four years. She was born in Newbury, VT, November 4, 1932, a daughter of Harry Joseph and Doris Evelyn (Meader) Cushing. Mary was raised in Newbury and had lived in Woodsville before moving to Concord to be closer to family. She enjoyed handiwork, sewing, crocheting, and quilting. Mary worked for Old Mill Pine in North Haverhill, NH, DCI in Lisbon, NH, Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, NH, and Landy Veal in Woodsville, NH. She was predeceased by a son, Maurice Coutermarsh on June 10, 1993; a sister, Ruth E. Fifield; three brothers, George Cushing, Harold Cushing Murdock, and Donald Cushing Murdock; and a nephew, Joseph Cushing. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Young and husband Alfred of Concord, NH; two grandchildren, Laura J. Gillingham and husband Scott of Wells River, VT and Nicholas L. Coutermarsh of Wells River; a great granddaughter, Ayva Jayne Gillingham; five sisters, Katherine Cushing of Newbury, VT, Elizabeth Cushing of Lisbon, NH, Doreen Delano of Newbury, VT, Linda Whitehill and husband Bud of Groton, VT, and Patricia Carle of Prescott, AZ; two brothers, James Cushing and wife Rebecca of Lisbon, NH and Harry Cushing and wife Sandra of Ryegate, VT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be on Saturday, May 10th at 1 PM at the Boltonville Cemetery.
