Marylyn (Morris) Aldrich, 78, went home to her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2023, after a chronic illness.
She was born in Haverhill on Feb. 12, 1945, the daughter of Walter Blake and Greta Cross Morris.
She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Haverhill Academy in 1963 and Plymouth State College in 1967. She taught school in Connecticut for a year and then Katherine Gibbs Business School in Rhode Island.
She married J. William Inglesby on August 2, 1969, and lived in Warwick, RI where their two daughters were born. They later divorced. She moved back to Haverhill in 1984 and taught business at Woodsville High School, being recognized by the State of New Hampshire as teacher of the year in 1994 and retiring in 2007.
Marylyn married Ronald Aldrich on December 12, 1998 and they made their home in Woodsville.
She had a great musical talent and played piano and sang in the choir of the Haverhill Congregational Church for many years. She enjoyed her flower gardens and time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Ron Aldrich of Woodsville; her daughters, Tracia O'Shana and husband Rod of North Haverhill and Tara Inglesby of Woodsville; four grandchildren, Allyson and Madyson O'Shana and Travis and Tyler Currier; her sister, Connie Sanville of Haverhill; a niece and nephew; an aunt, Nancy Hood of Newbury; and many cousins including Barbara DeRosia who was like a sister to her.
She was predeceased by her brother, Russell Morris, in 2015.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in North Haverhill on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11AM, with the Rev. George Hemway officiating. Inurnment will be in Ladd Street Cemetery in Haverhill at the convenience of the family.
