Pike, NH-  Maureen Elizabeth Foote, 87, of Lime Kiln Road, died following a period of failing health at the home of her daughter and son in law in Canaan, NH on Thursday, June 20, 2019.

Maureen was born in Sabula, IA on October 8, 1931, to Alvin Henry and Ethel Maude (Brown) Prusia.  She married Robert Charles Foote on April 11, 1952.

Maureen was a long-time letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Lebanon, NH. She also served as the cafeteria cook for the former Haverhill (NH) Academy Jr. High School

She had been a member of the Pike Ladies Aide, the Sunshine Bowling League in Woodsville, NH, and the VFW Post # 5245 Auxiliary in North Haverhill, NH.  She was a former member of the Canaan Lions Club and worked at the Canaan Motocross track.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Foote on February 14, 2009; two sisters, Sheila Jaquith and Lucy Warriner; and two brothers, George Prusia and Alvin Dean Prusia.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly L. Holmes and husband Robert of Canaan; three grandchildren, Robert E. Holmes III, John G. Holmes, and David J. Holmes; two step-grandchildren, Christopher A. Holmes and Carl E. Holmes; three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ali, and Aiden  Holmes; two brothers, Winton Prusia of Bow, NH, and Elton Prusia of Reidsville, NC; and nieces and nephews.

There will be a calling hour on Thursday, June 27 ^th from 12-1 PM with a memorial service beginning at 1 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.  Rev. Jane Wilson of the Bethany Congregational Church will officiate.

Private burial will be observed at a later date in the Evans Cemetery, Bow, NH.
