Woodsville, NH- Michael Anthony Maone, 66, of Harmony Drive, died on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Veteran s Administration Medical Center in White River Junction, VT. Michael was born in New York, NY, on July 31, 1946, to Joseph and Thedora (Bowen) Maone. After high school he joined the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed in the Security Department at the J.F.K. Airport in New York City. Michael moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family. He had also worked for the Way We Were in Woodsville. Michael enjoyed in his spare time to go fishing. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Maone on February 4, 1989. He is survived by his mother, Thedora (Bowen) Maone; a son, Joseph Maone; a daughter, Angela Romero and her husband David; three grandchildren, Matthew Maone, Chasity Romero, and Kaydence Romero; two sisters, Anne Amature and her husband Eugene and Teresa Maone-Gitomer and husband Philip; four nephews, Alexander Amature, Matthew Amature, Douglas Gitomer, and Martin Gitomer; four great nieces and nephews, Nicholas Amature, Anissa McCullough, Alexandra Amature, and Joseph Amature; and good friends, Wayne Minnick, Julius Tueckhardt, and John Rivera. There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held this fall in the Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Veteran s Affairs Medical Center, 215 North Main, White River Junction, VT 05009.
