Groton, VT Myrna Irene (Frost) Wetmore, 75, of Powder Spring Road, died on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at her home, on her husband s 76th birthday. She was born in Haverhill, NH, March 9, 1935, the daughter of Vern H. and Joyce Irene (Haskell) Frost, Sr. Myrna was a graduate of Groton High School. She attended Barrington Bible College in Rhode Island. She worked for Word of Life Bible Institute from 1956 to 1959. She worked at the shoe shop in Woodsville, NH for 3 years. Along with being a caregiver for her mother, she typed and edited her mom s 9 published books. Myrna married Donald Wetmore on November 7, 1959. Her greatest love was raising her four daughters and spoiling her seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. She found her joy in baking sweets for others and playing the piano and assisting with music at Calvary Baptist Church. Above all else, she wanted her life to honor and glorify her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved with all her heart. She was predeceased by her parents, Vern H. Frost, Sr. on December 11, 1990 and Joyce Irene Haskell on June 12, 1998; a grandson, William Scott Quelch on April 7, 1993; and a brother, Vern H. Frost, Jr. on February 7, 1999 Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Donald O. Wetmore of Groton; four daughters, Diane Quelch and her husband Robert of Northfield, VT, Denise Wetmore of Groton, Debbie Johnson and her husband Wade Sr. of Groton, and Donna Chickering and her husband Fran of Otisfield, Maine; 7 grandchildren, Matthew Johnson and his wife Becky, Rebekah Quelch, Jeremy Quelch, Carla Johnson, Riley Chickering, Emery Chickering, Jadon Wetmore, two step grandchildren, Erica Johnson, Wade Johnson, Jr. and his wife Christy; three step great grandchildren, Patricia, Austin, and James. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 29, from 6 to 8 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A funeral service will be on Thursday, September 30, at 1 PM, at the First Baptist Church of Groton, Scott Memorial Highway, Groton, VT, with Pastor Dan Chamberland of the Calvary Baptist Church of Woodsville and Pastor Dennis Walton of the First Baptist Church of Groton officiating. Burial will follow at the Groton Village Cemetery, Groton, VT.
