South Ryegate, VT- Natalie Helen Towle, 93, most recently of Danville, VT and formerly of Scott Highway, South Ryegate, died on February 26, 2011, at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Johnsbury, VT. Natalie was born on October 19, 1917, in Eden, VT, a daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Salls) Brown, and married Elwin R. Towle on September 2, 1939. Over the years, Natalie worked for Luce Manufacturing, Amway, Beeline Fashions, Queensway Clothing, Avon, and as a bookkeeper for Andreoletti s Granite Shed. She worked at the post office in South Ryegate and was a mail carrier in East Ryegate and Middlebury, VT. Natalie was a member of the Eastern Star and of the South Ryegate Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Elwin Towle on October 29, 2006; four sisters, Effie Gardner and husband Huland, Vera Eastaugh and husband Robert, twin sisters Rena Brown and Rita Boutilier and husband Boots ; a brother Raymond; adopted daughter Marylin Dwyer; and daughter-in-law Sally A. (Boyce) Towle. She is survived by a daughter Kathleen H. Fiske and husband Kendall of Washington, VT; two sons, Alan R. Towle and wife Sandy of Danville, VT and Erwin R. Towle and friend Carol A. Adams of Dracut, MA; adopted son Kurt Dwyer of St. Johnsbury, VT; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Edna Towle, Ethelda Chamberlain, and Hope Towle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. An Eastern Star service will be recited for family and friends at 6 PM with calling hours to follow from 6:30-8 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 4th, at 11 AM at the South Ryegate Presbyterian Church, South Ryegate, VT with Rev. Dr. M. Catherine Cook officiating.
