Newbury, VT Neil Edward Lufkin, 79, of Perini Road, died on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in White River Junction, VT. He was born in Burlington, VT, June 28, 1933, the son of Olin and Thelma (Piper) Lufkin. Neil graduated from Bradford Academy, class of 1951. After graduation Neil served with the U. S. Marine Corp during the Korean War from June 30, 1951 to June 29, 1954. He married Donna Wheeler on December 23, 1967. During his working career he worked as a shipping clerk for over 20 years for the Rayex Corp. in Plainville, CT and later for 20 years at the Honeywell Corp. in New Britain, CT. Following retirement in 2007 they moved from Connecticut to Newbury. Neil was a member of the VFW in New Britain, CT and the Marine Corp. League in CT. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Donna (Wheeler) Lufkin of Newbury, VT; his mother in law, Blanche Oliver of Newbury; along with four sisters in laws and four brothers in laws; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
