Monroe, NH- Olive Louise Cheney, 85, of Littleton Road, died on Friday, March 16, 2018 at The Morrison Nursing Home, Whitefield, NH, surrounded by her family.
Olive was born in Barnet, VT, on May 16, 1932, to Ardie and Mina Mae (Downs) Worster. She was a graduate of McIndoe Falls Academy. On December 9, 1950, she married Raymond Cheney.
Olive had been a member of the East Barnet Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a former member of the East Barnet Ladies Aid.
In her spare time, Olive enjoyed playing cards as-well-as doing jigsaw puzzles and word searches. A fine cook, she was best known for her delicious spaghetti sauce. Mostly, she loved family events and gatherings.
Olive is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Raymond Cheney of Monroe; two daughters, Constance "Connie" Cheney of St. Johnsbury, VT and Tammy Bonynge and husband Paul of Littleton, NH; three grandchildren, Michelle Knight, Michael Burt and Jen, and Amy Naylor and husband Andy; six great grandchildren, Dylan and Jenny Beth, Gavin, Jordyn, Brooke, Sawyer, and Haven; a great great granddaughter, Raelyn; a sister, Adria Wright of Maine; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by an infant brother, Eugene Worster, and her other siblings, Edith Burgess, Geneva Kalivas, Lillian Karker, Lucille Riley, Ardie Worster, and Stella LaPete.
A private burial service will be held in the spring in the North Monroe Cemetery.
