Manlius, NY- Patricia B. "Pat" Fournier, 78, of Jarvis Drive, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 21, 2021, in the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville, NY.

Pat was born on March 4, 1943, in Woodsville, NH to Elwin A. and Margaret L. (James) Boyce.  She was a graduate of the Newbury (VT) High School, Class of 1960, where she was a basketball star.  On May 20, 1961, she married Fernand D. Fournier, the beginning of a loving, 60-year marriage.  From 1962 to 1972, Fern & Pat ran a dairy farm in Haverhill, NH.  It was during that time that they adopted their two children, Richard John, and Lisa Marie.

While Pat and Fern lived in North Haverhill, NH, she worked behind the lunch counter at Thomas Pharmacy in Wells River, VT.  In 1980, the family moved to New York when Fern was hired to operate the McIntyre Paper Company.  After several years, they purchased the company and Pat managed the front office.  They sold the business and retired in 2002.

In her early life Pat enjoyed going out dancing and played on the local bowling league.

She "had her hands full" as a working mother of two but always made time for her children.  "Family" was her passion, and she was actively involved with her children, and later on, her two granddaughters, whom she adored.  For six years, she lovingly took on the responsibility of caretaker for her ailing mother, Margaret.  In her free time, she also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, Sudoku and watching her favorite country artists on tv.

She is survived by her husband, Fernand D. Fournier of Manlius; a son, Richard John "Rick" Fournier of Park City, UT; a daughter, Lisa Marie Madsen of Manlius; two granddaughters, Reilly and Palmer Madsen; a sister, Janice Brown of North Haverhill; two brothers, Gordon Boyce and wife Mary Anne of Wichita Falls, TX and Wayne Boyce and wife Jeannine of Grand Prairie, TX; and Fern's family, Blandine Dube of Valrico, FL, Raoul Fournier and wife Claire of Littleton, NH, Bruno Fournier and wife Alice of Pike, NH, and Richard R. Fournier of Monroe, NH; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Elwin A. Boyce on December 11, 1991; her mother, Margaret L. Boyce on October 1, 2002; a brother, Robert Boyce on December 14, 2000; and Fern's six brothers, Laurent R. Fournier, Conrad R. Fournier, Real Fournier, Germain Fournier, Donald Fournier, Gerard Fournier; and his four sisters, Simone Cotter, Gisele Hood, Carmen Patterson, and Monique Willey.

There will be a calling hour on December 3, 2021, from 10 AM to 11AM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, with a funeral service following at 11AM with Father Mark Dollard, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Horsemeadow Cemetery, North Haverhill, NH.
