Newbury, VT-  Patricia L. (Parks) Hood, 71, of Leighton Hill Road, died of a sudden cardiac arrest on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH.

Pat was born in Elgin, OK on March 2, 1950 to Roy Skinner and Mary (Klinkenbeard) Skinner- McKnight.  Her father, Roy, served in the military, so Pat grew up traveling the world.  She moved to the North Country in 1970.
For over forty years, Pat waitressed at several area restaurants, but mostly, she served many customers at P&H Truck Stop.

She loved butterflies, playing BINGO, and going to the Oxford and Foxwoods Casinos.  She enjoyed attending games and events for her grandchildren.  Pat was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.  She loved spending time with family, including her trips to visit her Oklahoma family.

Pat is survived by her three sons, Randy Hood and partner Rachel Hood of Landaff, NH, Kevin Hood and wife Jenifer of Ardmore, OK, and Mark Hood and wife Melissa of Fairlee, VT; four grandchildren, Ryan, Christopher, Zacery, and Ariel Hood; three great grandchildren, Harper, Grace, and Anastasia; a sister, Debbie Arthur and husband Larry of Fletcher, OK; a brother, Shaun McKnight of Kansas; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Snow and a brother, Roy Skinner.

A private service will be held for her immediate family.
