North Haverhill, NH- Patricia Pat Richie Locke 76, of Benton Road passed at peace on December 27, 2013 at Treasure Coast Hospice Hay Madeira House in Stuart Florida with family by her side. Pat was born in Philadelphia PA, on March 24, 1937, a daughter of Donald Wood and Phoebe (Hoopes) Richie, and grew up in Croton Falls, NY. She graduated from Convent of the Sacred Heart in Eden Hall, PA, Class of 1954, and from St. Vincent s School of Nursing in New York City where she obtained her R.N. in 1957. She married Anthony Bijou and moved to Whitefield NH in 1960. Together they owned and operated the Weather Vane Inn until 1967. She had a son in 1964 Peter Dewitt Bijou who died a few days after birth. Her husband Anthony died in 1966. In 1967 she married William James Crowley II. In 1971 she moved to Pike, NH and Had 3 beautiful children, William Jay James Crowley III, Timothy Patrick Crowley and Lillian Annie Crowley. William died of cancer in 1975. In 1976 she joined partnership and married David J. Locke Sr. and his 5 children, David J. Locke Jr., Wanda B Locke, Kathy J. Locke, Shannon J. Locke and Lisa A. Locke, and this is when they became the CROCK s. Among her jobs as a Registered Nurse, she opened her home and cared for many individuals both elderly and disabled she provided quality care to those that needed her. She sub-contracted with White Mountain Mental Health and Developmental Services, as well as having a private care home. During this time she also ran Hillbilly Day Camp (a Day Camp for local children) and Creation Unlimited (an art guild for local artists) as well as assisting her husband David with the work of his excavating business Locke Excavation , retiring in 2007. Pat, also known as HoodLin enjoyed and spent many years caring for people, taking care of her large family, cooking, drinking Pepsi, gardening, playing cribbage, organization, mowing lawns, assisting her husband drawing sewer plans and being very creative. There was nothing Pat could not fix or put together. Pat relished in family and family gatherings and the Sunday Steak Out . She loved animals of any kind. In her later years she had a love for fuzzy warm blankets and cuddling with her beloved cat Colin Powell Colie and wintering in Jensen Beach Florida with her Husband, Colie and her dog Miss Kitty. Pat was predeceased by her parents Donald Wood Richie and Phoebe Hoopes Richie, her husbands, Anthony Bijou and William Crowley II, her son Peter Dewitt Bijou. Pat leaves behind and she will be forever missed by, her husband of 37 years, David J. Locke, her Children William Jay Crowley and his partner Tammy of San Antonio, Texas, Timothy P. Crowley and his Wife Angelia of Wells River Vermont, Lillian Annie Crowley McNerney and her husband CJ of Wells River, Vermont, Wanda Locke Larrivee and husband Marc of Lee Ma., David J Locke Jr. of Haverhill NH, Kathy J Locke, of Jensen Beach FL., Shannon Locke Clough and her husband James of North Haverhill, NH, and Lisa Locke Simonds and her husband Bruce of Woodsville. 17 Grandchildren; a sister Sally Scotton of Annapolis, MD; a Brother, Donald Wood Richie, Jr. of, A Step Sister Susan Moga of Connecticut, and a Step Brother Christopher Richie of Croton Falls, NY. A Special like son Jeffery Roots Beasley of Lancaster NH and a Dear Friend Kendra Hatch of North Haverhill NH, along with her beloved animals Colin Powell (Cat) and Miss Kitty (Dog), Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
