West Barnet, VT- Patricia Lillian Willey, 68, of Garland Hill Road, died following a period of failing health on Monday, January 5, 2015. Pat was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on May 17, 1946, a daughter of Joseph Laural and Vera Lillian (Johnson) Roy. Pat was a graduate of Peacham Academy, Class of 1964. She attended Doane College and Grand Island School of Business, both in Nebraska. She married Duane Frank Willey on August 15, 1970. Following college, Pat was the secretary at the Probate Court in St. Johnsbury under Judge Wesley. For several years, she served as the auditor for the town of Wheelock, VT and was the treasurer for the South Wheelock Free Will Baptist Church. Together, Pat and Duane owned and operated, for 35 years, Chandler Pond Farm in South Wheelock, VT. She was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. Upon retiring from dairy farming in 2006, they moved to West Barnet. Pat loved John Deere tractors and the Sandhills region of Nebraska. She enjoyed antiques and attending auctions with Duane. She also belonged to the Kirby Quilters. Pat was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Duane Willey on February 18, 2014 and by her parents, Vera L. Roy on August 31, 2009 and Joseph L. Roy on December 13, 2010. She is survived by her two daughters, Marieka Larrabee and husband Alfred of East Calais, VT and Heather Mass and husband Robert of Monroe, NH; two grandchildren, Alyana and Miliano Mass of Monroe; two sisters, Joanne R. Temple and husband David of East Burke, VT and Dianne L. Roy of Rutland, VT; two brothers, Bruce L. Roy and wife Catherine and Robert P. Roy and wife Sandy, both of West Barnet; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service is being planned for the Spring 2015 in the North Kirby, VT Cemetery.
