Paul Warren Anderson, 70, of Lincoln, NH, and formerly from East Hampton, CT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 22, 2024.
Paul was born on September 5, 1953, to Corinne (Ramsdell) Anderson and John Anderson in Middletown, CT. He was the second oldest in a family of five boys. Sunday dinners were important throughout Paul's childhood. Every Sunday, his mother would make a large noontime dinner, followed by ice cream for supper, "Sundaes on Sunday". Paul also enjoyed playing baseball in the front yard with his brothers and children from the neighborhood. Paul was skilled in trick basketball shots; In high school, Paul was given the nickname "Earl" after Earl "the pearl" Monroe, due to his fondness for basketball as a hobby.
Paul attended East Hampton Highschool and Vinyl Tech for trade school before joining the US Army. He joined the Army in 1971, completing basic training out of Fort Benning, GA. After basic training, Paul was a lineman, and studied to be a mechanic, working on Hewey and Bell Ranger helicopters. He was discharged from service in 1974.
Paul enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life. He enjoyed playing pool and shooting darts. He was in a league playing darts competitively with his older brother, Jack. Other hobbies he enjoyed were cooking, baking, gardening, hiking, woodworking/drafting, riding his 1982 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle, and watching movies. Out of all of his lifetime hobbies, photography was by far his favorite. Paul was always known as "the man behind the camera" at weddings and numerous family events. To sum it all up, in Paul's own words, "I'm a Jack of all trades, but a master of none."
Paul met Mary E. Elliott in 1976, and married in 1980. They were married for 36 years.
Paul and Mary have two boys, Aaron Thomas Anderson, and Ryan Cody Anderson.
Predeceased are his parents Corrine and John, and brothers Leonard and Kevin. He is survived by his brothers Jack Anderson, and Darryl Anderson. He is also survived by his sons Aaron and Ryan and their wives, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
A Celebration of Life is planned on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Monroe Town Hall in Monroe, NH at 2 pm. Burial will be held privately.
The family of Paul asks that anyone attending the celebration of life that owns a motorcycle, to meet at Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch St. Woodsville at 1PM, kick stands up at 1:30, for Paul's final ride.
