Paul R. Gajewski, aged 89, of St. Johnsbury, VT, passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, after a sudden illness. Born in Webster, MA, on December 21, 1934, to Martin and Elsie (Walkowiak) Gajewski, Paul attended local schools before enlisting in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

After his military service, Paul moved to California, where he worked in manufacturing for several years. He later returned to Massachusetts to work for the railroad and eventually settled in Woodsville in 1981, where he worked as a truck driver for P&H and later at Gary's Fuels. In 1986, he married Mary Grimes.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was a passionate NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt Sr.

He is predeceased by his parents and his stepdaughter, Karen Gordon, who passed away in 2011. Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Gajewski of North Haverhill; his stepson, Edward Woods, and his wife Karen of Monroe, NH; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Center Haverhill Cemetery at 9AM.
