Paul
Hatje
December 20, 2023
Paul Hatje, 89, a longtime resident of North Haverhill, NH died peacefully at home on December 20, 2023. He was born in New Haven, CT on February 13, 1934. Following high school, Paul joined the Marine Corps and then went on to college to become a teacher. He was often remembered by his students long after graduation when they would run into him somewhere in Connecticut. They were always excited to see him.
Paul was an avid golfer, especially post-retirement. He loved to read, write poetry, and listen to music. He would often break out into song or sing along when he heard one of his favorite tunes. He spent many years with his dearest friend and life partner, Donna, during which time they traveled and made many happy memories together. The senior community in Grafton County, NH was a great support to him as were his hospice care takers who made his life easier.
Paul is survived by his dearest life partner, Donna Hatje, and his children; Mark Hatje and Yizza Galdamez, Joanne and Tim Ramsey, Paula Hatje, Donna Truncali and Carolyn Hatje; his grandchildren: Rick Truncali, Nick Truncali, Kris Truncali and Laura, Amy Ellies and Darius, Robyn Kaufman, Brian Eldridge, Max Eldridge and McKenzie Peterson, TJ Ramsey, Lizzy Ramsey and Kurt Schnaars, Gaby Santiago and one great-granddaughter, Quinn Truncali and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Louise and Arthur Hatje, his brother Arthur Hatje and his sister Marilyn Fox.
