Monroe, NH – Pauline Pushee passed away on August 14, 2011, one day before her 91st birthday, at the Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH. She was born on August 15, 1920, in Lyme, NH, a daughter of Harris A. and Inez (Clark) Pushee. Pauline was a graduate of Orford High School and Plymouth State College. She began her elementary teaching career in Bath, NH and then proceeded to teach in Monroe, NH for 41 years. Pauline was predeceased by her two brothers Harris C. Pushee and Albert Pushee. Survivors include her best friend Marjorie Whitcomb, her sister Ellen Jordan, three generations of nieces and nephews, as well as extended family. Pauline will be remembered for her intelligence, kind heart, beautiful smile, good sense of humor and gentle nature. Due to the impending storm, the service that was scheduled for August 28th has been cancelled. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept 4th, at 2 PM in the Bath Congregational Church. The donations will be utilized for the school's Expeditionary Learning and Field Studies program which instills the values of respect, responsibility, and team work to students. These values were all ones Miss Pushee expected of her students.
