Obituary

North Haverhill, NH- Pearl May Robinson, 98, of Briar Hill Road, died May 17, 2010 at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH. She was born in Barnet, VT, November 14, 1911, the daughter of Jesse and Lena (LaBelle) Russell. She was a graduate of the Barnet public schools and of Wells River High School. She also attended the Boston School of Domestic Science and took courses at the Eastern Maine General Hospital in their Dietary Department. Pearl had been a longtime North Haverhill resident where prior to her retirement, she worked in the kitchen at the Grafton County Home. She had been a member of the Barnet Congregational Church since 1927, and a 60 year member of Iona Lafayette Chapter # 42 OES of North Haverhill, which is now Mt. Eustis Chapter # 37 Order of the Eastern Star, Littleton, and was active in all aspects of the chapter. She was also a member of the Pine Grove Grange in Bath, and was a member of the former Pink Granite Grange of North Haverhill. She was predeceased by her husband Max G. Robinson on February 16, 1976, and her brother Gordon E. Russell on August 20, 2008. Survivors include her brother in law Fred Robinson and wife Audrey of North Haverhill, and their daughters Judy Stimson and husband David and family of Bath, and Laury Theriault and husband Paul and family of Monroe, NH, and her friends Paula and Richard Stevenson of Barnet, VT. There will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 22, at 3 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH, with Rev. Sally Chamberlin officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Barnet, VT. Memorial contributions can be made to the Grafton County Nursing Home, 3855 Dartmouth College Highway, North Haverhill, NH 03774.
