Monroe, NH - Phillip George Hall, 70, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH. He was born in Littleton, NH, March 28, 1945, the son of Donald T. and Elsie (Burroughs) Hall. Raised on the family farm in North Monroe, he graduated from McIndoe Falls Academy Class of 1963 and entered the United States Air Force in May 1965. He was discharged in April 1969 from McChord AFB in Washington State as a Sergeant. He went on to work 30 years for the US Postal Service in Lancaster and later Woodsville, from where he retired. Phil, or George as he was commonly known, was a former member of the Monroe Fire Department and volunteered with the Woodsville Ambulance Service, the Monroe Grange # 49, and Monroe Men's Club, having served as president for thirty years. He is survived by his wife Linda M. (Lang) Hall, to whom he was married on May 22, 1971, of Monroe; three children, Jennifer M. Hall of Brooklyn, NY, Seth P. Hall of Livermore, CA, and Julie A. Hall of Monroe; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in laws. He was predeceased by his parents. Calling hours will be on Friday, June 26th from 6 to 8 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A private family burial will be observed in the North Monroe Cemetery.
