Obituary

Lisbon, NH – Priscilla (Plamondon) Locke, 95, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.  She was born on July 10, 1929, in Woodsville, NH, to Iva Mae (Wilson) and Ernest Plamondon.

She was a graduate of McIndoes Academy, class of 1947. She married Robert G. Locke on April 10, 1948. They had four children and made a life together in Monroe, NH.  They moved to Lisbon in 2014.

Priscilla babysat in her home, did housekeeping for families in Monroe, and also worked at North Country Farms, now known as Pete & Gerry's, for a time.  She was a Sunday School teacher in McIndoe Falls and Monroe and served as an officer in the Monroe Ladies Society.  She was a devoted member of the Monroe Methodist Church and enjoyed helping with church functions like the Saturday Night Suppers and Lords Acre Auction.  She served as a ballot clerk for the town of Monroe for many years.  She loved to bowl and became a member of the Women's Bowling League in Woodsville.  She enjoyed music and dancing and watching the Boston Red Sox and Celtics.  She had a knack for arranging flowers and enjoyed having carnations around the house.  She loved spending time with family, especially attending her grandchildren's school and college sporting events.  The past ten years at the Lisbon Inn have earned her many close friends who will miss her greatly, as well as the Boston Post Cane for being Lisbon's oldest resident.  She also loved her adopted Maine Coon Cat, Samantha

Priscilla was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Robert Locke; her parents, Iva Blondeau and Ernest Plamondon; her stepfathers, Joseph Blondeau and Norman Magill; and her sister Kathryn Locke.

She will be remembered by her children, Alan Locke and Merry of Lisbon, NH, Ernie Locke and Anna of Monroe, NH, Cyndy Hutchins and Brent of Monroe, NH, and Sandy Lang and John of Monroe, NH; five grandchildren, Steven Lang and wife Susana, Laurie Lang, Patricia Lang, Rob Locke and fiancé` Jessica, and Theresa Clark and husband Tucker; four great-grandchildren, Kaylie Locke, Brynn Locke, Tayler Clark, and Savannah Lang; her brother Wilson Plamondon; her step-sisters, Joyce Ryder, and Gloria Russell; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
