East Ryegate, VT- Priscilla (Millette) Darby, 81, died on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at her home, following a short illness. Priscilla was born on May 9, 1933, in Haverhill, NH, the ninth of ten children born to John Thomas and Catherine (Dean) Millette. Priscilla graduated from Woodsville High School. On March 25, 1951, she married Hoyt A. Darby. She worked for many years as a receptionist and secretary at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville. Over the years, Priscilla was active in the Woodsville United Methodist Church and the Girls Club as-well-as the Cottage Hospital Auxiliary. She loved cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Hoyt A. Darby on June 18, 2010 and by her siblings, Kathleen Brown, Charlotte Prescott, Harry Millette, John H. Millette, Malcolm D. Mike Millette and Frank D. Millette. She leaves her three children, Stephanie D. Cross and husband Michael, Roy A. Darby and wife Kim, Hoyt M. Darby and wife Vickie; eight grandchildren, Alan Cross, Laurie (Cross) Hilfiker, Michael M. Cross, Renee` (Darby) Ignjatovic, Rachel Darby-Malone, Troy Darby, Leanna (Darby) Roy, Hoyt G. Darby; twenty great grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Malinoski; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her children invite friends and family to her home at 12 Wallace Street in East Ryegate on Wednesday, October 29 from 4-7 PM. A memorial service will be on Thursday, October 30 at 11 AM at the Woodsville United Methodist Church, 11 Maple Street, Woodsville, NH with Pastor Clint Brake officiating.
