Raymond "Pete" Arthur Wright, 90 of Haverhill NH, died at Dartmouth Health, May 30, 2025, after a brief illness.  He was born at home in East Haverhill, NH, on August 17th, 1934, to Peter Thomas Wright and MaryAnn Masse Wright.  He attended Haverhill, NH area schools.

Pete had a stellar work ethic and started at eight years old as a golf caddy at Lake Tarleton. He also worked at a number of farms in the area, The Whiting Milk Company, and Grafton Motor Sales as a mechanic. In 1957, he started "Pete's Rubbish" with one small truck, which grew into a highly successful waste management business.

He loved fishing, admiring antique cars and tractors, volunteering with the fire department, tinkering on new inventions, golfing, mowing his lawn, and enjoying time with his family.  He served in the NH National Guard for nearly a decade in the 1950's

He is predeceased by his parents, sister, and granddaughter Jenna Lynn. His surviving family includes his wife of 68 years Arlene Wright, children and their significant others, Denise and Tom of North Haverhill, NH, Brenda and Charles of Martha's Vineyard, MA, and Lori and Paul of Englewood, FL. Grandchildren include Jennifer, Ryan, Amanda, Charlie, Kayla, Megan, Abigail, Andre and Spencer, and great grandchildren Lindsay, Claire, Maxwell, Ava, Liam, Emmett, Josie, Owen, Connor, and Bradley.

Calling hours will be Friday June, 6, 2025 from 11-1 at Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch St. Woodsville.  Interment will follow immediately at Ladd St. Cemetery,      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dartmouth Health, Cottage Hospital, and or Haverhill Corner Fire Department.
