Raymond "Ray" C. Nickles, 79, of Bath, NH, died peacefully at his home on June 27, 2022 with his wife by his side.

Ray was born October 16, 1942, in East Haven, CT.  He was raised by his grandparents Fred and Leona Nickles. In the early 1970's Ray and his first wife Betty moved to Bath, NH. On June 12, 2010, he got remarried to Georgia Bracey Sullivan.

Ray worked as a logger until he started work at Pratt's Propane in Haverhill, NH; he worked at Pratt's from 1993 to 2018 when he retired. He also worked at O'Reilly's in Woodsville, NH, delivering parts from 2019 to 2022. He worked there until a week before he passed.

Ray's passion was the horse pulls and won many awards and trophies through the years. He had two horses, Shorty and Ted that he loved dearly. He was also very fond of his dogs; Bruiser, Sydney, Comet and Chloe.

He is survived by his sister Marion Malloy in East Haven, CT; his first wife, Betty Nickles; and his second wife, Georgia Sullivan Nickles; his daughter Peggy Sue Westphal and her husband Gary of Andover, MA; his son, Ken Sullivan and his wife Shaylee of Groton, VT; his grandchildren, Kevin, Alex, Jonathan, Aimee, Lauren, Rachel, Bridgette and Isabelle; and his great grandson Alex (AJ), who he got to meet right before passing.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, and brother Fred.

There will be no services per Ray's request. He was cremated and his ashes will be spread at his wife's discretion.
