North Haverhill, NH – Renee Lucipe Dube, 89, died on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH, following a period of failing health.
He was born in Canaan, VT, September 27, 1926, a son of Archie and Leonaldo (Benoit) Dube. Renee served with the US Navy. Following his honorable discharge in June 1946, he worked at the Brown Street Mill in Whitefield, NH until it burned. Upon moving to Lisbon, NH, he worked as a foreman at Plymwood Furniture where he worked for over twenty years. When they went out of business, he was hired at a bedroom manufacturing company in Orange, MA to assist them as they started their business. He was employed there for four years before retiring at age 62.
He married Betty Placey on July 8, 1995.
Renee and Betty enjoyed weekend camping in Pittsburg, NH, looking for moose and wildlife. He loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his son, Mark. He also loved spending time and sharing his war stories with his grandson, Brandon.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Betty Placey-Dube of North Haverhill, NH; seven children, Kevin Dube and companion Terri Work of Denver, CO, Lyn Chamberlain-Latona and husband Jay of Florida, Dan Dube and wife Susan of Ojai, CA, Mark Dube and wife Betty of Lisbon, NH, Steve Dube and companion Sally Higgins of Bradford, VT, Allyn Clarke and husband Neil of Littleton, NH, and Nichole Nadeau and husband Bryan of Bradford; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; six siblings, Adlod Dube and wife Claire, Paul Dube and wife Mary, Leo Dube and wife, Albert Dube and wife Barbara all of Arizona, Fernand Dube and wife Sally of Lisbon, and Mary LeClaire of Rhode Island; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by two sons, Ralph and Reginald David; his parents, Archie and Leonaldo Dube; a brother, Armond Dube; and a brother-in-law, Clayton LeClaire.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be Friday, October 14, at 1 PM in the Center Haverhill Cemetery, Benton Road, Center Haverhill, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, MA/NH Chapter, 480 Watertown, MA 02472.
